Fosse Park reappoints GO Travel Solutions as Travel Plan Coordinators
GO Travel Solutions, a Leicester-based sustainable travel consultancy, has been reappointed as Travel Plan Coordinators at Fosse Park for a minimum of three years. GO Travel Solutions will continue to manage and develop the shopping park’s sustainable travel initiatives for staff and also widen their focus to explore similar options for shoppers and other visitors too.
GO Travel Solutions have managed the Travel Plan since 2021, working with Fosse Park retailers to introduce and develop the successful “Getting To Work” scheme for staff. This package of low-carbon transport incentives and resources has helped to reduce the proportion of employees driving to work at Fosse Park. Annual staff travel surveys have shown a continued reduction in single-car occupancy from 72% in 2018 down to 42% in 2024 as their main commute method. Meanwhile, within the same period, staff commuting by bus has risen from 11% to 32%. The significant growth in sustainable travel at Fosse Park has led to national recognition. In 2023 it was the Business Engagement Project of the Year at the National Modeshift Awards and in 2024 it was shortlisted for the CIHT and Ringway Decarbonisation Award.
